Highlights: Home designed by Frank Lloyd Wright
Stagecoach Road
Origin of Name: Named for Francis Ogden
Links: Historical Society of Ogden Dunes
County: Porter
Some History:

Purely a residential community, today, Ogden Dunes prohibits all commercial enterprises.

Ogden Dunes is likely most associated with Diana of the Dunes who is claimed to still inhabit the area.  Diana was a well-known hermit who lived in the Ogden Dunes area from 1920 to 1925, before the town was established.  Her real name was Alice Gray; the nickname, Diana of the Dunes, comes from the Chicago Press.

In 1927, Ogden Dunes was home to the highest ski jump in the U.S.  A historical marker indicates the site where the thirty stories high jump hosted competitions, until it was disassembled 1932
